Well, it's official...I have found my new favorite holiday. A holiday spent with family, friends, great weather, mountains of food, football, fireplaces, 4-wheelers, endless desserts, acres of land to roam around, and amazing drinks to top it all off!

I'd like to call it, The Krauss Friendsgiving Extravaganza!

This past Friday, I had the great pleasure of taking part of The Krauss's Family Friendsgiving event at their beautiful home in Powhatan, Virginia! This was a day full of endless laughs with the best company and the food was truly the icing on the cake! I've known Kelli and Johnny for over seven years now and we recently met up again in Charlottesville while they were on an anniversary trip! After sharing some beers and catching up on how the years between us have been, Kelli told me that they were planning on having this event the day after Thanksgiving. I offered to come down and take some portraits of them while everyone was together for the holidays, and Kelli and Johnny said YES

Truthfully, I felt like I was the lucky one to witness all of the love that was being poured out from everyone that day. All of the families were so welcoming and so incredibly generous, and you could tell how much they all truly cared for one another. Talk about something to be thankful for.

THANK YOU Krauss Family for letting me take part on this special day for you all!

I can't begin to explain the love I have for all of you!

Can we talk about this adorable family right here? This past weekend, I had the pleasure of visiting Aldie, Virginia to photograph Kelsey & Peter Walsh along with their new addition to the family, sweet Baby Harper. One thing I loved to see was how natural they both were when it came to taking care of her, and for her being only a month old, you'd never know it by the way they both interact with her.

One of the sweetest moments of the evening, was capturing Peter holding Harper. The way this father looked at his daughter and how he was so attentive and caring, was so so special to witness. I know plenty of new fathers who are always nervous about hurting a newborn, but Peter was such a natural and you could tell how much he simply adored her! The moment I saw Kelsey with her, my heart stopped. First off, Kelsey looks like a rockstar from only one month out of having her and she brought forth this energy that was so calm and easy going. It truly set the tone for the evening and she made it hands down, one of my all time favorite family sessions to date!

I feel so incredibly honored to have taken their first "official" family portraits, and I cannot wait to see what life has in store for them next! Thank you Kelsey & Peter for taking time away from Sunday Night Football and letting me capture your adorable family of five (we can't forget the pups!). I wish you both nothing but the best!
